GB/T 20018-2005 stipulates the method for the measurement of film thickness of metal and Non-metallic coatings by β-ray backscattering method. The standard specifies the measurement principle, scope of application, equipment requirements and operation process of the method, and regulates the key links such as sample preparation and measurement conditions. The rapid and nondestructive detection of film thickness of the coatings is carried out through β-ray backscattering technology implementation. It provides scientific and unified technical standards for film thickness measurement of the coatings, and helps quality control and product testing.
