GB/T 17721-1999 "Metal overlay porosity test, iron reagent test", stipulates the method of determining the porosity of metal overlay by iron reagent test. The standard specifies the test principle, instrument reagent, sample preparation, operation process and result evaluation. Through the color reaction between the iron reagent and the matrix at the pores of the metal overlay, the existence of pores can be visually detected, providing a standardized detection method for accurately evaluating the mass and protective performance of the metal overlay.
