This standard specifies a method for determining the coefficient of friction of Plastic films and sheets in contact with themselves or Miscellaneous substances. It applies to non-tacked Plastic films and sheets with a maximum Film thickness of 0.5 mm. This standard is mainly used for quality control, especially in ensuring the sliding performance of the film. The variation of static friction with contact time is to be taken into account during the test to obtain comparable results. In addition, due to the effect of additives on sliding, this standard emphasizes the effect of film storage time on test results. The standard does not cover comprehensive performance evaluation on Encasement or processing machinery.
