The standard provides a Cyclic Corrosion test procedure for automotive painted steel to evaluate its corrosion resistance. Tests include salt fog, dry heat and Humidity cycles to simulate the durability of painted steel in a real environment. The entire test cycle is 60 days and is designed to accelerate the corrosion process to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the product in a short time. The standard also includes sample preparation, equipment requirements and results evaluation guidance.
