This standard specifies the methods for intergranular corrosion testing of nickel alloys (iron-nickel-based, nickel-based), including sample preparation, test equipment, test solutions, test procedures and evaluation of results. This standard covers four test methods: iron (ⅲ) sulfate - sulfuric acid test, copper - copper sulfate - 16% sulfuric acid test, muriatic acid test and nitric acid test. It is suitable for evaluating the tolerance of nickel alloys in corrosive environments. The test methods and determination criteria shall be determined by consultation between the supplier and the buyer to ensure the performance reliability of the alloy material under the specific use environment.
