This standard tests the effectiveness of emulsion Coating in preventing chromadizing of tannins. Tannins are natural hair-coloring substances in wood that may cause Coating discoloration. This accelerated test method is used to determine the protective capacity of emulsion Coating against tannins. Cedar or mahogany panels are usually used as test substrates. SI units are standard units and values in brackets are for reference only. It is up to the user to determine the applicable safety measures.
