This standard is used to rank the coalescence of latex paints under standard and low temperature conditions. The test method compares the performance of different latex paints by measuring the porosity of the film. This method is only used for comparative testing in laboratories and cannot provide absolute performance data, but the performance of paints can be assessed by comparison with known standards.
