This standard tests the tolerance of architectural coatings when subjected to printing pressure. The smoothness and Appearance of coatings may change as a result of contact with objects, especially textured surfaces. This test method evaluates the resistance of coatings to printing under random field pressure contact to ensure the durability and Appearance of decorative coatings in practical applications. The accelerated procedures associated with testing resistance to printing are different and should not be confused with blocking tests.
