This standard measures the ability of powder coatings to coat sharp corners. The test determines the ratio of angular to surface thickness of powder coatings at a specific surface thickness by immersing a preheated square rod in powder and curing it under predetermined conditions. This test is useful for understanding the coverage ability of coatings in different shapes, but is not suitable for evaluating the protective effect of sharper edges.
