This standard specifies the test method for determining the interlaminar shear strength of fiber metal laminates using the short beam method, including definitions of terms, test principles, equipment requirements, specimen preparation, test procedures and calculation of results. It is suitable for interlaminar shear strength testing of thermosetting or thermal plasticity continuous fiber reinforced metal laminates, mainly for material screening and quality control. Appendix A provides a reference method for the double beam method, but not for the determination of design parameters.
