This standard specifies an arbitration method for the determination of silver content in aluminium and aluminium alloys by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), which is applicable to the determination of silver content in the range of 0.0050% to 2.00%. Absorbance measurement at a wavelength of 328.1 nm after the sample is dissolved by muriatic acid and nitric acid to calculate the silver content. This method provides technical support for the accurate analysis of trace silver elements in aluminium alloy products.
