This standard specifies a method for the determination of calcium content in iron ores, iron concentrates, sinters and pellets using flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), with a determination range of 0.030% to 1.50%. Absorbance was determined at a wavelength of 422.7 nm after the samples were analyzed with muriatic acid and nitric acid, and the residue was treated with hydrofluoric acid and combined with the main liquid.
