This standard specifies a method for the determination of sodium and mg in lead and lead alloys by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). It is suitable for anode plates for electrolysis deposition, hard lead antimony alloys and lead alloy ingots for cable sheathing. The determination range of sodium is 0.0005% to 0.0050%, and the determination range of mg is 0.0005% to 0.050%. The standard provides a scientific method for the analysis of sodium and mg content in lead and lead alloys.
