This standard specifies a method for the determination of aluminum content in tin by electrothermal atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) for tin samples with an aluminum content in the range of 0.00030% to 0.0040%. The aluminum content in the sample is determined by acidic dissolving of the sample and measurement of the absorption Peak area of aluminum at a specific wavelength. This method provides a reliable means for the quantitative analysis of trace amounts of aluminum in tin materials.
