This standard specifies a method for the determination of copper content in tin by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), which is suitable for the determination range of 0.00020% to 0.100% of tin samples. Absorbance measurement of copper at a specific wavelength through acidic dissolving of the sample, after eliminating tin interference, can accurately determine the copper content in the sample. This method provides an effective analytical means for the detection of trace copper in tin, which is suitable for material analysis and quality control.
