This standard specifies the determination method of lead content in molybdenum and its products, which is applicable in the range of 0.0001% to 0.0100%. Absorbance of lead is determined by using hydrogen peroxide to dissolve samples in nitric acid medium and by Graphite furnace atomic absorption-tion spectrometry, GFAAS, which is suitable for precise analysis. This method can be effectively used for the detection of trace lead in molybdenum materials.
