This standard specifies methods for the determination of cadmium content in tungsten powder, tungsten bar, tungsten carbide and other materials by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (AES) and flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The two methods are suitable for different measurement ranges. Method 1 is suitable for 0.0002% to 0.030%, and Method 2 is suitable for 0.0004% to 0.0030%. This standard provides reliable technical support for the detection of cadmium content in tungsten and its compounds.
