Part 4 of this standard specifies methods for the determination of ferric oxide in limestone, dolomite and metallurgical lime by o-diazephedrine Spectrophotometric method, spec-trophotometry and flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The o-diazephedrine Spectrophotometric method, spec-trophotometry is suitable for the determination of ferric oxide content in the range of 0.02% to 4.0%, and the flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) method is also applicable to this range.
