Part 6 of this standard specifies in detail the determination method of copper content in zinc concentrates, which is applicable to zinc concentrate samples with a copper content ranging from 0.50% to 3.00%. The determination is carried out by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The sample needs to be dissolved with muriatic acid, nitric acid and ammonium fluoride, and the measurement of copper Absorbance in dilute nitric acid medium by air-acetylene flame and Light spectrum at 324.7 nm. The standard requires the use of analytical pure reagents and distillation water, and provides a preparatory method for copper standard solution to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
