This standard specifies methods for the determination of zinc ions in boiler water and circulating chilled down water. The determination is carried out using the Spectrophotometric method, spectra-trophotometry, in a solution from pH 8.5 to pH 9.5 to ensure accurate measurement of zinc ions. The standard emphasizes the purity requirements of reagents and water, and uses analytically pure and grade 3 water that meets GB/T 6682-2008 standards.
