This standard specifies a method for the determination of benzotriazole in boiler water and chilled down water, suitable for the determination of benzotriazole content from 0.5 mg/L to 5 mg/L. Methods Absorption of water samples at 268 nm is measured by using condensed benzotriazole-free supplementary water as a blank control solution to eliminate interference from organic matter. The standard also provides detailed reagent formulation, instrument use and analysis procedures to ensure the reliability of measurement results.
