GB/T 20975.6-2008 Determination of cadmium in aluminum and aluminum alloys by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The aluminum and aluminum alloy samples are first processed to dissolve the cadmium element to form a solution. The cadmium atomization is carried out with the help of a Flame atomization device, and the absorption degree of cadmium atoms to specific wavelengths of light (Absorbance) is measured by a light spectrum meter. The cadmium content is accurately calculated by Absorbance according to the pre-constructed cadmium element standard Linear dispersion. The standard has strict specifications from sample prepative, instrument operation, to measurement process and data processing, providing key means for mass testing of aluminum and aluminum alloy products, helping to control the cadmium content in products and ensure product performance and safety.
