GB/T 12966-2008 specifies the eddy current test method for the conductivity of aluminum alloys. It specifies the sample preparation requirements for various aluminum alloy samples to ensure that the surface is flat and free of defects. Using the eddy current test instrument, the eddy current is generated in the aluminum alloy through the alternating magnetic field, and the conductivity of the aluminum alloy is measured according to the relationship between the eddy current and the conductivity. Strict control of the instrument calibrate, test environment temperature and humidity ensures accurate measurement. The standard also describes the data processing and result judgment methods, providing efficient means for the mass evaluation of aluminum alloys, and helping to control product performance in production, testing and other links.
