This standard specifies a method for the determination of manganese content in ferrochromium by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), which is applicable in the range of 0.050% to 1.80%. Methods After the sample is analyzed with muriatic acid, hydrogen peroxide and other reagents, the manganese content is determined at a wavelength of 279.5 nm by air-acetylene flame.
