GB/T 6730.53-2004 provides for the determination of zinc content in iron ore by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The iron ore sample is pretreated to convert the zinc element into ions in the solution. The zinc atomization is made using a Flame atomization device, and the absorption degree of zinc atoms to specific wavelengths of light is determined by a light spectrum instrument. The zinc content in iron ore is accurately calculated by Absorbance according to the standard Linear dispersion. This standard provides a key means for evaluating the mass of iron ore and helps the steel industry to control the quality of raw materials. It is widely used in iron ore mining, beneficiation and smelting.
