GB/T 6730.52-2004 Determination of cobalt content in iron ore by flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). Sample Handling of iron ore is first formed into a solution to dissolve the cobalt element. Cobalt atomization is made through Flame atomization, and the absorption of cobalt atoms to specific wavelengths of light is measured by light spectrum instrument, that is, Absorbance. Then, according to the standard Linear dispersion, the cobalt content in iron ore is accurately calculated from Absorbance. This standard provides a reliable means for mass assessment of iron ore and helps to judge the value of ore. It plays an important role in iron ore mining, mineral processing and steel smelting industries.
