GB/T 4500-2003 defines the method for determining the zinc content in rubber by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The rubber sample is pretreated to convert the zinc element into the solution. Absorbance is determined by AtomicAbsorption Spectroscopy based on the absorption characteristics of zinc atoms to specific wavelengths of light. The zinc content in rubber is accurately calculated by comparing it with the standard Linear dispersion. The standard provides a key detection method for rubber quality control and helps to control product performance. It is widely used in rubber production, mass testing and other fields, and has since been revised.
