GB/T 13885-2003 stipulates the determination of calcium, copper, iron and other 8 elements in animal feed by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The feed sample is first digested to dissolve the target element. Absorbance is determined separately according to the absorption characteristics of each element atom to specific wavelengths of light with the help of AtomicAbsorption Spectroscopy. The content of each element is accurately calculated through the standard Linear dispersion. The standard provides a comprehensive and reliable means for mass detection of animal feed, ensures nutrient balance in feed, and meets animal growth needs. It is widely used in feed production, inspection and other links, and was later revised.
