This standard specifies the method for measuring the Hardness of reinforced hard plastics and their products using the Bacol hardness gauge, covering the test principle, equipment, sample requirements, test procedures and result processing. It is suitable for the determination of Hardness of reinforced hard plastics, and non-reinforced hard plastics can also be referred to, but it is not applicable to materials with Hardness less than 20. The standard provides a scientific basis for the hardness testing of plastic materials.
