This standard specifies a method for the determination of pyridine content in industrial wastewater using Gas chromatography, CG. Headspace sampling technology is used. By heating the wastewater sample, pyridine volatilizes into the gas phase, and then is detected by Gas Chromatograph. The detection range is 0.49~ 4.9 mg/L, and the minimum detection concentration is 0.031 mg/L. This method is suitable for the monitoring of pyridine in industrial wastewater, which provides an effective means for the control of industrial wastewater discharge and helps to protect the water environment mass and human health.
