This standard specifies a method for the determination of dinitro-toluene content in industrial wastewater from nitroglycerin series explosives using Oscillopolarography. It is suitable for the determination range of 0.10~ 5.00 mg/L with a minimum detectable concentration of 0.05 mg/L. The content of dinitro-toluene in water samples is determined by electrochemistry reduction reaction using Dropping mercury electrode in sodium tetraBoricacid solution. This method is suitable for the detection of dinitro-toluene in environment monitoring and wastewater treatment.
