This standard specifies the use of acetylacetone Spectrophotometric method, spectrophotometry detection method for formaldehyde content in water, suitable for the detection of surface water and industrial wastewater, but not suitable for printing and dyeing wastewater. The method reacts formaldehyde with acetylacetone to generate a yellow compound and performs spectrophotometric determination at 414 nm with a minimum detection concentration of 0.05 mg/L and an upper limit of 3.20 mg/L. This method is widely used in environment monitoring and water quality analysis.
