The HG/T 2999-1979 standard specifies a method for the determination of the cissing rate of cloth after painting. The cissing rate in the straight line direction is measured on the painted cloth sample by the cloth Shrinkage tester, expressed as a percentage. This method is used to evaluate the effect of paint on the dimensional stability of the cloth material and helps to understand the material changes during the painting process.
