This standard specifies a method for the determination of transferable hexavalent chromium (Cr (VI)) content in toy materials using Ion chromatography. It is suitable for drying, fragile, powdery or flexible toy materials, liquid or viscous toy materials, and scrapable toy materials. Method The dissolution of Cr (VI) in the toy material is extracted by simulating the migration of the toy material under stomach acid conditions. Cr (VI) is separated by anion exchange column and reacts with post-column derivatization agent to form a purplish-red complex. It is determined by ultraviolet-visible Detector and quantified by external standard method. This method ensures accurate assessment of harmful substances in toy materials, in accordance with toy safety standards.
