GB/T 37837-2019 specifies a general method for the detection of metals and some non-metallic elements in samples using quadrupole Inductance Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (QICP-MS). The standard covers the principles of the method, reagents and materials, instrumentation and equipment, sample requirements, analysis steps, report of results and safety precautions. The standard applies to qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative analysis of elements by liquid and gas injection methods, and does not apply to direct injection of solids. This standard provides standard operating guidelines for analytical laboratories to ensure the accuracy and conformity of test results.
