The JB/T 6978-1993 standard was developed by the Wuhan Institute of Material Protection and specifies the picking process before painting of steel parts. It includes pre-picking preparation, picking operation, post-picking treatment, tank liquid management and surface condition requirements, as well as safety and environment technical requirements. The standard aims to ensure the effect and safety of the picking process and is applicable to the pre-painting of steel parts.
