The GB/T 4324.20-2012 standard specifies the determination method of vanadium content in tungsten materials (such as tungsten powder, tungsten bar, tungsten carbide, etc.), which is applicable in the range of 0.0002% to 0.01%. The method dissolves the sample with hydrogen peroxide and ammonia water, and separates the tungstic acid with muriatic acid to remove the matrix. Then, the emission intensity of vanadium is measured at the recommended analytical wavelength by an Inductance coupled plasma emission light spectrum meter, and the mass concentration of vanadium is calculated by the working Linear dispersion method. The standard also specifies the requirements for the reagents and materials used to ensure the accuracy of the determination.
