The GB/T 4325.26-2013 standard defines a method for the determination of aluminum, mg, calcium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, arsenic, cadmium, tin, antimony, tungsten, lead and bismuth in molybdenum by Inductance Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). The standard applies to these elements in high-purity molybdenum powder, molybdenum oxide and ammonium molybdate, and the determination range is 0.0001% to 0.0050%. The method includes dissolving the sample with reverse aqua regia and hydrofluoric acid, exciting the sample through an argon plasma light source in a mixed salt-nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid medium, and determining it by mass spectrometry. The measurement is corrected by internal standard method. The standard specifies in detail the required reagents and preparatory methods to ensure the accuracy of analytical results.
