The GB/T 24916-2010 standard specifies a method for determining the content of metal elements in surface preparation solutions using Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) method (ICP-OES). The standard applies to the determination of various metal elements in surface preparation solutions, including aluminum, sodium, calcium, mg, iron, copper, chromium, lead, zinc, manganese, nickel and antimony. The principle of the method involves treating the sample with nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide to remove the organic matter, and then treating the sample with perchloric acid. After acidification, the sample solution is excited. Light spectrum lines emitted by the sample are analyzed by a spectroscopic system and the relationship between Spectral line intensity and element concentration is used to determine the content of each element. This method uses standard labeling to improve accuracy. The standard also specifies the purity requirements of the reagents used.
