GB/T 17418.7-2010 《Methods for analysis of noble metals in geochemical samples - Part 7: Determination of platinum group elements - By nickel sulfide fire assay-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry》 Related products

The GB/T 17418.7-2010 standard specifies a method for the determination of platinum group elements (platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, osmium, ruthenium) in geochemical samples using nickel matte assay-Inductance Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). The method involves melting the sample with a mixed flux and trapping precious metals through nickel matte to separate the Miscellaneous elements. The nickel matte is then dissolved with muriatic acid, the filtrate is treated, and analyzed on ICP-MS after being dissolved by aqua regia. Among them, osmium is determined by isotope diluting method. The standard also recommends the use of tellurium co-settling method to improve the collection rate and measurement reproducibility of precious metals to ensure the accuracy of test results.
