GB/T 3884.12-2010 standard specifies a method for the determination of fluorine and chlorine content in copper concentrates, using Ion chromatography. The applicable measurement range is 0.005% to 0.50% fluorine and 0.01% to 0.50% chlorine. In the method, the sample is analyzed by sulfuric acid, and the fluorine and chlorine are absorbed by the absorption liquid after escaping with water vapor, and then determined by Ion Chromatography. Quantification of fluorine and chlorine is done by working Linear dispersion method, while qualitative is based on Retention time. This method is suitable for accurate analysis of fluorine and chlorine in copper concentrates.
