The GB/T 24794-2009 standard specifies procedures for the analysis of 16 trace elements in photographic chemicals using Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) (ICP-AES). These elements include sodium (Na), mg (Mg), aluminum (Al), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd), tin (Sn), lead (Pb) and silicon (Si). Measurement ranges from 10% to 5% concentrations for organic matter and Miscellaneous related samples. The standard also covers the preparation of relevant reagents, instrumentation requirements and analytical methods to ensure the accuracy and Reliability of the test.
