The GB/T 24197-2009 standard specifies a method for the determination of 17 elements such as iron, silicon, aluminum, calcium, barium, mg, potassium, copper, nickel, zinc, phosphorus, cobalt, chromium, vanadium, arsenic, lead and titanium in manganese ores by Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) method (ICP-AES). The standard is suitable for the comprehensive analysis of manganese ores and can also be used for the determination of several of these elements individually. Sample Handling involves the analysis of the ore using acid, then diluting the solution to a specified volume, measurement of the emission light spectrum intensity of the element by the ICP-AES instrument, and calculation of the mass fraction of the element using calibrated Linear dispersion. The standard also includes relevant reference documents to ensure determination Precision and Repeatability.
