This standard specifies a method for the determination of total aluminum and total boron content in steel and alloys by microwave digestion and Inductance Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), which is suitable for the determination of total aluminum content from 0.0005% to 0.10% and total boron content from 0.0002% to 0.10%. This method provides an effective means for the accurate analysis of trace elements in steel and alloys through microwave digestion technology analysis of samples, and then uses ICP-MS for measurement.
