This standard specifies the definition of terms for mechanical sealing and soft filler in axial suction centrifugal pumps, the dimensions of sealing chambers and sealing end cap Accessories, and the design requirements for sealing chambers. It is suitable for pumps with general use and heavy load conditions. The standard provides an important reference for sealing components in the design, manufacture and inspection of pumps, but does not apply to slurry pumps and impurity pumps.
