GB/T 3082-2008 establishes standards for platings low carbon steel wires for armored cables. The standard specifies the classification and code of hot-dip galvanized and hot-dip galvanized -5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy platings low carbon steel wires. Its size, shape, weight and allowable deviation are described in detail, and there are also clear requirements for mechanical properties, process performance and platings mass. It provides a basis for the production and mass testing of such steel wires for armored cables to ensure that the steel wires play a good performance in cable protection and are widely used in the cable manufacturing industry.
