This standard specifies eddy current testing methods for seamless pipes of copper and copper alloys, including through and point (swirl/spin) eddy current testing methods, comparison samples, equipment, operation procedures and result evaluation. It is applicable to the detection of surface and near-surface defects of copper and copper alloy seamless pipes with an outer diameter of 3mm to 160mm. The standard provides an important reference for the quality control of copper and copper alloy seamless pipes to ensure that they meet the requirements of industrial applications.
