GB/T 12610-1990 "Thermal Cycling Test of Platings on Plastics" standard specifies the thermal cycling test methods and equipment for platings on plastic substrates, aiming to evaluate the resistance of platings under temperature changes and their bonding strength with plastic substrates. The standard refers to the relevant content of the international standard ISO 4525-1985, covering the high and low temperature cycle test procedures, including Temperature range, test equipment and sample requirements. The test evaluates the temperature resistance performance and bonding strength of platings by repeatedly cycling changes in high and low temperature environments to detect defects such as blistering, wrinkling, crazing or peeling of platings. The test results need to be evaluated according to the standard or the requirements of the purchaser and recorded in detail in the report.
