This standard sets out requirements for the economical operation of positive displacement air compressor systems driven by AC motors, including system discrimination, evaluation methods, test methods, and evaluation and improvement measures. It is applicable to systems in use with rated exhaust pressure less than or equal to 1.4 MPa, and is also applicable to the design of new, modified and expanded air compressor systems. The standard is designed to help users improve system operation efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and ensure cost-effective operation.
