This standard specifies a method of field testing before and after Thermocouple installation or after a period of use. It is designed to ensure that the whole Thermocouple machine and compensation wires are not damaged during storage or installation and are connected correctly. Tests include measurements of loop resistance, insulation resistance and thermoelectric potential to evaluate the performance and damage of the whole Thermocouple machine. The standard applies to a variety of Thermocouple models, but some tests may not apply to models that have worked at high temperatures. Reference standards include GB/T 4989, GB/T 25475 and GB/T 30429.
